Visual Programing language
Although visual programming is being broadly implemented in other disciplines, it has only relatively recently become an important supplement to three-dimensional modeling programs in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Currently, Grasshopper in conjunction with Rhino is a leading example of a visual programming environment that is strongly supported by a user community that is developing additional functionality, but Grasshopper does not yet work directly with building information modeling (BIM) software. Dynamo is relatively new, but shows considerable promise in becoming a constructive tool to complement BIM, 3D modeling, and analysis programs because it includes parametric geometries and works with Revit, a leading BIM software program.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
• Aim to develop a workflow to connect BIM parametric design tools, energy simulation tools, and optimization algorithms allow for the customization of individual building components or whole building form in order to reduce anticipated energy use.
• Sustainable Building Model From Concept to design
• Parametric/ Kinetic façade System design for energy optimization of the Building.
Summary
• One of the major bene?ts of performing energy simulation during the design process is to compare design alternatives using parameters and rules among objects. Parametric modeling enables generative form-making and form-?nding on the basis of aesthetic and performance metrics of buildings.
Methodology
• Conceptual level Climatic study on considered Project
• Creating Architectural model using BIM Authoring tools
• Energy analysis Using Insight 360
• Evaluating Building Performance results and Design options.
• Creating parametric façade Component using Adaptive component modelling techniques.
• Design proposal of a Kinetic façade system for the building using Visual programming software.
